The student, throughout his or her journey, may find himself or herself in a situation of discomfort, pressure, or even learning difficulty. With this in mind, and realizing that the psychological side is a vital contributor to intellectual productivity, the IIT implemented a listening and psychological support cell dedicated particularly to students who find themselves upset due to obstacles, in particular personal or social problems. This cell works to avoid the repercussions of psychological disorders which can lead students to abandon their aspirations, hopes and future projects. It facilitates the student's adaptation, integration and personal, family and social development.
Any student who needs to be heard, supported and helped can call on the psychologist's services and confide in him or her in order to set up a plan and activities to develop his or her well-being and restore his or her psychic functioning. Thanks to the discreet follow-up provided, the student will be able to face his anxieties and overcome his worries. The interview mainly respects two primordial notions: neutrality since the psychologist does not present any moral judgment and total confidentiality.
